These terms describe the use of the web portal at crew.l-e-m.de and the LEM Crew app for iOS and Android by authorised employees and administrators. Your access is provided by your company.

LEM Crew supports companies in tracking working hours, maintaining time accounts and managing absences. Which features are available to you depends on your company’s configuration and permissions.

Employment contracts, works agreements and mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected. These terms do not alter your contractual working hours, leave entitlement or remuneration. Separate agreements between the provider and your company govern the commercial relationship.

Your account and access

An authorised person in your company creates your account and assigns your company, role and access rights. The mobile app does not offer public self-registration. Only use your own account and keep your password and any security codes confidential. Report any suspected misuse promptly to your company or the provider.

Signing in with a company-provided account does not enter you into a paid personal subscription. Any fees for company use are agreed separately with the company. Charges from your internet or mobile carrier may apply independently.

Within the scope of your enabled access, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app and web portal for their intended work-related tasks. Rights to open-source components are governed by their respective licences.

Working time and absences

Recording and correcting time

Record the start, end and breaks of your actual work accurately. Manual entries and edits are only available if enabled for you by your company. If you cannot make a needed correction or notice an inaccurate booking, contact the responsible person in your company.

Requests, public holidays and time accounts

Submitting an absence request does not constitute approval. Check the displayed status and follow your company’s policies. Public holidays and credited absences are applied according to the configured rules. Automatically calculated breaks, target hours and time-account balances are based on settings and recorded entries; the display does not replace verification by your company or binding payroll accounting.

Your company is responsible for lawfully configuring its working-time, break and absence rules as well as granting permissions. The technical availability of a setting does not confirm its admissibility under employment law.

Responsible use

  • Do not record fabricated working hours or clock under another person’s identity.
  • Only access data you are authorised to view. Share operational data, exports and private calendar links only with authorised recipients.
  • Do not bypass access controls or impair the security or operation of the service. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
  • Only enter necessary and lawful content. Do not include unnecessary medical diagnoses or confidential information about third parties in notes.

Offline use and synchronisation

After signing in online, the mobile app can display previously loaded data locally and queue supported clock events without a network connection. Information shown offline may differ from the current server state. Not all features are available offline.

A queued clock event is only recorded on the server once it has been transmitted and confirmed. When connectivity is restored, the app attempts to synchronise pending events. The server verifies permissions, time limits and potential conflicts. An event may require review or clarification with your company.

Check pending actions and use the retry function when a response is uncertain instead of creating duplicate entries. Do not clear app storage or uninstall the app while unsent clock events remain on your device. Local data is not a substitute for a confirmed server booking or a backup. Home- screen widgets display the available status and may reflect an earlier state until refreshed.

Privacy and device permissions

Our Privacy Policy explains how account, working-time, absence and technical data is processed. Your employer’s privacy notices apply in addition. Using this website or app does not replace any separate consent that may be required.

Where used by your company, a location point may be captured with device permission at the moment of clocking. LEM Crew does not perform continuous background location tracking. You manage device permissions in your system settings; if your company requires a location for a clock event, that event cannot be completed without it. Your employer is responsible for the legal basis and necessity of using location capture.

Operation, updates and responsibility

Full functionality requires a supported device, a compatible app version and an internet connection. Maintenance, outages or interrupted connections may temporarily restrict access. Install provided security and compatibility updates. In case of an outage, use the alternative time-tracking process agreed with your company.

The provider is responsible for the technical service within the scope of applicable statutory and contractual obligations. Operational decisions—such as approving a leave request or clarifying working hours—are the responsibility of your company. Statutory warranty and liability rights are not restricted by these terms; in particular, liability for intent, gross negligence or injury to life, body or health is not excluded.

Suspension and end of access

Authorised administrators in your company can modify, archive or revoke your company access, for instance upon a role change or the end of employment. In the event of specific security concerns, access may be restricted to protect data. This does not affect your entitlements under employment law.

Uninstalling the app or archiving an account does not automatically delete records stored on the server. You can direct erasure and access requests to your employer or to the contact address below. Statutory retention obligations and legitimate documentation requirements are taken into account; details are set out in the Privacy Policy section on retention.

Changes and contact

We update these terms when functionality or legal requirements change. The current version is indicated by the date at the top of the page. Where a contractual amendment requires a separate agreement or consent, that consent will be obtained separately; merely publishing a new version or continuing to use the service does not replace it.

For questions about clock events, approvals and permissions, please contact the responsible person in your company. For questions regarding the app, technical operations or these terms, you can reach L.E.M. Management & Consulting GmbH at info@l-e-m.de or at the postal address above.
